Your safety is at stake in this business. I was stalked by a peeping Tom in 2021. I was so frantic and scared. I couldn't eat well or shower. Cleaning my home was out of question. I've moved in with a bunch of roommates since then. I feel safe now. I can't believe this person basically ran me out of my home.
Identity theft is a big problem in the film industry. You become a new fish once your face starts popping up on the internet. Someone could be selling your email. I found my information on low budget celebrity websites telling my personal business and trying to guess my networth. Maybe you will accomplish having a large following on social media. Some actors are blessed to see their IMdb page and press on Google.
You can fall prey to scams. In the year 2020, I've had a check for $1,780 sent to my home. The scammers had intentions for the check bouncing in my account. They said that I was responsible for paying a portion of the money to the "stylist". So basically I was supposed to give them some of the money from the bounced check. In the end, I would have been responsible for paying the money back to the bank from the bounced check.
My friends are gone because those sneaky bitches got jealous. I have probably have a total of 50 fake social media pages on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram that are impersonating me. A lot of your peers google you all the time but they don't like your posts. Along with all this crazy stuff that I brought up, you need to be careful. Scammers try to lure you to private locations to sink their teeth into you. Also, stay away from contracts that say,
"You have to travel to another state to sue the production company."
Cults, human trafficking, poor working conditions, identity theft, stalking, prank calls; all kinds of stuff is what that you should watch out for. Also, watch out for money hungry, bullshit acting teachers.
Bye, Tootaloo!
